Amy Whitelock

Amy Whitelock has worked in public policy since 2006 and joined Mind’s Policy and Campaigns Team in January 2009. She is a Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer working on social inclusion and rights issues, including access to justice, employment, and equality and human rights. Previously, Amy led Mind’s lobbying work on the Equality Act, reform of social care, and the ‘In the red’ campaign on debt and mental health.

Since last year, Amy has been leading Mind’s ‘Another assault’ campaign, which calls on criminal justice agencies to ensure people with mental health problems are granted equal access to justice. She developed Mind’s police good practice guide and mental health toolkit for prosecutors and advocates, and has been widely published on issues ranging from disability hate crime to safeguarding adults from abuse.
